Top 5 Moments of 2012

I have been given an extra credit assignment recently, for me to state my Top Five moments of this past year, 2012. So here they are, in ord  er by date.

Acquire the Fire

Early in the year at my church, our youth group went to attend an event called "Acquire the Fire". It was like being in a concert, but it was a building full of Christians or to-become-Christians. It was an amazing experience I would never forget, and definitely one I am pumped for again this upcoming one in 2013.

First Time at KUNA

I went to the "Kentucky United Nations Assembly", or KUNA, later on. This was my first time attending it, also. It was a very fun and great way to spend two and a half days. Thus, pushing me into going again this upcoming year. Now if I can just force myself to go to Y-Club afterschool for it...

My hotel room, along with whom I was so privileged to share with three friends, including Shelby Stidham (in bed).

Holiday World

During the summer, I went to an amusement park called "Holiday World". It was a long drive to get there,  since it is placed in a town called Santa Claus, Indiana. Funny, huh. This was my second time going to this park, but this time I went with Mom, her boyfriend (who is now her husband), two of his boys, my sister, and my brother. It was really fun, and I did not get burned badly! (Praise Jesus!)

State Finals

This was actually a mix of joy and tears. But I found it to be an amazing day, that I actually did not want to end. Even though it was below freezing outside and I lost feeling everywhere in my body. This was our Marching Band State Finals. During the Semi-Finals, we just almost barely got into the Top 4 bands. We were .2 points away from placing in front of Bourbon County, the band who slightly slipped into 4th place, leaving us in 5th. It was such torture to see the disappointment in so many of my fellow band members' eyes, also filling up with tears. We were so close to being able to perform one more time, at State. Yet, other than that, we got the privilege to go to WKU to watch other amazing bands, and the ones who made it to Top 4. Later that day I found it to be an amazing night. We were there for probably 4 hours, I'd say, in the stands with it being as cold as the Arctic outside. But I enjoyed it, watching it with one of my very good friends, that I do not get to see often (since he is a sophomore). That day was a mix of emotions.

Mom Getting Married

On December 12th, my mom got married. She is married to a retired Navy Seal. So now we have an addition of three step-brothers to the family. Also, since my step-dad is retired from the military, me and my siblings (excluding my oldest brother) got Military ID cards. I just found this neat. Now I can get discounts in various stores! :)
