First of all, for the new season of marching band, I am really hoping that I will get on marching bass drum. I have wanted to join the Bass Line for a good while now, since I've been in the Pit, which is the front ensemble, where all the Marimbas, Xylophones, Vibraphones, and all that junk is found. Our assistant director has told me that I am capable of marching bass, and I am really hoping he is right. Yet the thought of trying to remember all those marching "techniques", marching in time, and having to carry a big drum on my chest for a long time frightens me...
Then, after we have graduated from this all of a sudden frustrating and boring Middle School (in my opinion), I have become more excited about becoming a Freshman. Going into High School, where it is said to be a frightening place. I don't really believe all that. I am thrilled to almost being a Freshman in the Russell County High School.
Finally, in the month of October, I will be 15! I am shocked! I am excited for this, because I will become a new, more mature person. Hopefully. Just the thought of becoming 15 makes me feel like a young type of "old". Oh well.
